Breakfast at Le Clos de la Vieille Dame: delicious and waste-conscious

At Le Clos de la Vieille Dame in Sessenheim, breakfast is a moment to savour. Every morning, Linda prepares a generous breakfast according to her guests’ preferences, with special attention to hospitality, the choice of products and reducing food waste.

Rather than preparing a large buffet in advance, each guest chooses their breakfast the day before. This simple approach allows us to cater to individual tastes while supporting the Clos’s environmental commitments and Green Key certification.

1. Breakfast prepared just the way you like it

Served between 7 am and 10 am, breakfast fits around your morning. The day before, simply let us know what time you would like to eat and choose what you would like to find on your table the following morning.

Tea, coffee or hot chocolate, fruit juice, milk or almond milk… You can accompany your drink with bread, butter, jams, honey, pastries or cereals. If you prefer a savoury breakfast, cold cuts, cheese and eggs are also available.

Sweet, savoury or a little of both: everyone can create their ideal breakfast!

2. Enjoy breakfast while reducing food waste

Choosing breakfast in advance allows Linda to prepare just the right quantities according to each guest’s preferences.

This alternative to a traditional buffet means you can still enjoy a generous, personalised breakfast while reducing unnecessary preparation and food waste.

It’s a simple habit that has become part of everyday life at the Clos and naturally reflects our environmental commitments as a Green Key certified property.

3. The perfect start to a day in Alsace

Whether you’re an early riser or prefer a leisurely morning, breakfast can be enjoyed at your own pace before heading out to explore Sessenheim and Northern Alsace, or simply spending a little longer enjoying the peaceful atmosphere of the Clos.

Éric also enjoys joining guests at breakfast, sharing the story of the house and offering his favourite tips and recommendations for exploring the region. Don’t hesitate to ask him!

It’s a personal touch that reflects the spirit of Le Clos de la Vieille Dame: a warm welcome, simple pleasures and a more responsible approach to hospitality.

More than just a meal, breakfast is part of the experience at Le Clos de la Vieille Dame. Prepared with care by Linda according to your preferences and accompanied by conversations with Éric, it’s an invitation to slow down before beginning another day in Alsace. A delicious, friendly and responsible way to start the day.
